great staff , but small rooms
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, remembering us from our first day. The onsen downstairs provided a nice retreat after a long day of sightseeing, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The proximity to various bus and subway lines made our travels convenient and stress-free, allowing us to explore with ease. The little amenities like the self-heating kettle and complimentary green tea made the room feel even more inviting.

The staff were genuinely welcoming, remembering us and our three dogs right from the start. We found it easy to explore the nearby temples, like the stunning Kinkaku-ji, and really enjoyed unwinding in the little onsen after our adventures.
My kids wished for a small play area.

Had a great time here with friends! The location is ideal for visiting the Museum of Art and Heian Shinto Shrine. The breakfast offers a mix of options, and the staff were friendly. The lobby's beautiful decor added charm to our stay.
The room was quite small. it felt like a postage stamp at times, which might not suit everyone.

Perfect match for a quick break in Kyoto with real value for money. The beautifully painted lobby made a great first impression. Pack light since there are no elevators, but staff are super helpful!

The Standard Twin Room was cozy, and I really appreciated the self-heating kettle and green tea provided. The thick curtains were awesome for a good night’s sleep, and the overall cleanliness made it even better. It felt homey, and the public bath in the basement was a nice touch, too! Just wish the room was a bit more spacious—at times it felt a bit cramped.

The little onsen was a wonderful way to unwind after a day out, and I loved the cozy bathrobes they provided. During my stay, I also enjoyed some relaxation time in the leisure room, which was a nice escape. Just a heads up, I switched rooms each night, but it didn’t really dampen my experience at all! 😊
